Homepages

The Homepages Tab enables you to:

  • Create new homepages
  • Assign homepages to roles and users
  • Easily add panels to homepages using drag and drop
  • Export and import homepages and their panels

 

Creating a New Homepage

To create a new homepage:

  1. Navigate to the Configure module.
  2. Select the Homepages tab.
  3. Select the Add button in the top right to add a new Homepage.
  4. In the Name field, enter a name for the Homepage.
  5. In the Users field, enter a comma delimited list of users and roles that this Homepage will be assigned to.
  6. Click Save.
  7. The Homepage is saved.
  8. You will now need to configure the Panels to display on the homepage using the Homepage Designer.

Editing Homepages

To edit an existing homepage:

  1. Navigate to the Configure module.
  2. Select the Homepages tab.
  3. Locate the homepage that you wish to edit from the list of available homepages. Click on the ellipsis at the end of the row and select Edit from the context menu.
  4. The Edit Homepage editor will appear. You may update the name of the Homepage and the Roles and Users that the homepage is assigned to.
  5. Click Save to save your changes.

Duplicating Homepages

  1. Navigate to the Configure module.
  2. Select the Homepages tab.
  3. Locate the homepage that you wish to duplicate from the list of available homepages. Click on the ellipsis at the end of the row and select Duplicate from the context menu.
  4. The selected homepage will be duplicated. It is automatically given the same name as the source homepage with a _COPY appended to the end of the name.
  5. From here, you can edit the homepage as necessary.

Deleting Homepages

To delete an existing homepage:

  1. Navigate to the Configure module.
  2. Select the Homepages tab.
  3. Locate the homepage that you wish to delete from the list of available homepages. Click on the ellipsis at the end of the row and select Delete from the context menu.
  4. At the prompt, select Delete to delete the homepage. This action cannot be undone.
  5. The homepage is deleted.

 

Ordering Homepages

You can change the order that Homepages are rendered by dragging and dropping the homepages in the Homepages tab. This allows you to create Homepages in any order you wish and then subsequently drag and drop the homepages into the order that you would like them to appear in the Fluence portal.

To re-order a homepage:

  1. Navigate to the Configure module.
  2. Select the Homepages tab.
  3. Locate the homepage that you wish to re-order from the list of available homepages. select the homepage and drag it up or down to the correct position.

 

Exporting Homepages

Exporting and importing Homepages is an easy way to get homepages from one tenant into another tenant.

To export one or more Homepages

  1. Navigate to the Configure module.
  2. Select the Homepages tab.
  3. Select each homepage that you wish to export using the checkbox in the leftmost column.
  4. Click on the Export icon in the Homepages toolbar.
  5. The selected Homepages are exported and downloaded to your Downloads folder. The extension for the Homepages export file is *.fhp.
  6. From here, you can import the exported file into another environment.

Importing Homepages

Exporting and importing Homepages is an easy way to get homepages from one tenant into another tenant.

To import a Homepage export from another tenant:

  1. Navigate to the Configure module.
  2. Select the Homepages tab.
  3. Click on the Import icon in the Homepages toolbar.
  4. You are prompted to select a file. Use the Windows file browser to select the Homepage file to import.
  5. Click Open in the file browser to import.
  6. The homepages are imported and are placed at the bottom of the Homepage list.
