Homepage Designer

A Homepage consists of one or more panels. The Homepage Designer allows you to easily add panels and configure panels on your Homepages using drag and drop.

There are several panel types which can display different types of content. For more information on the types of panels available and their content see Panel Properties and Panel Types.

 

Adding Panels

To add a panel to a Homepage:

  1. Navigate to the Configure module.
  2. Select the Homepages tab.
  3. Locate the homepage that you wish to edit from the list of available homepages. Click on the ellipsis at the end of the row and select Edit Panels from the context menu.
  4. The Homepage Designer is shown. It is comprised of the Panel toolbox at the top and a canvas at the bottom which provides a preview mode while you design. 
  5. Drag the appropriate panel from the toolbox to the canvas. 
  6. The Edit Panel editor will automatically display. Fill in the Panel Title, Panel Properties and Panel Content using the Edit Panel editor. For more information see Panel Properties and Panel Types.
  7. Click OK in the Edit Panel panel editor to save your changes.
  8. Once you have finished adding and configuring all the necessary panels on the homepage, click Save in the top right to save the homepage and all of its panel contents.

 

Editing Panels

To edit an existing panel:

  1. Mouseover the panel that you wish to edit.
  2. A small gray floating toolbar appears. Select the pencil icon to Edit the panel.
  3. The Edit Panel editor will automatically display. Edit the Panel Title, Panel Properties and Panel Content using the Edit Panel editor. For more information see Panel Properties and Panel Types.
  4. Click OK in the Edit Panel panel editor to save your changes.
  5. Once you have finished all of your edits, click Save in the top right to save the homepage and all of its panel contents.

 

Deleting Panels

To delete an existing panel

  1. Mouseover the panel that you wish to delete.
  2. A small gray floating toolbar appears. Select the delete icon to Delete the panel.
  3. The panel is deleted.
  4. Click Save in the top right to save your changes.
